In the Ullambana Sutra, Buddha Shakyamuni taught his disciple Moggallana, a ritual of spiritual consolation to transfer merit to his mother, thereby helping her to be reborn in heaven. The ritual described in the Ullambana Sutra will be performed for our ancestors by Her Holiness Keishu Shinso.
