Shinnyo-en launches microsite to celebrate saisho ceremony in Singapore
In celebration of the upcoming saisho service in Singapore, we are pleased to announce the launch of our microsite that aims to bring greater understanding about this ceremony.
Our microsite features a history of the event and provides a rich account of what the elements of fire and water symbolise.
It also has a section on various rites performed during the saisho ceremony, as well as a gallery of photos and videos chronicling the observance of saisho services in various parts of the world.
Like the past saisho services, we envision the Singapore saisho ceremony to bring everyone together, regardless of nationality, language, culture, and religion.
Her Holiness Shinso Ito will lead the fire and water rituals that will encourage the participants to work towards the peace and well-being of all.
“The ceremony we are conducting in Singapore is one in which we bring together the elements of fire and water. I hope that we can give all living beings the courage to push forward good things towards the future. This is what the homa is for. And the saisho ceremony is a collaboration of these two elements.” Her Holiness said.
The saisho ceremony in Singapore will be held on 19 November 2017, 11:00 am at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.
